Drill: Timing Ladder – 5 to 30 Feet
10m
To develop adaptability in putting speed control by timing a sequence of putts from varying distances and slopes. The goal isn’t perfection—it's to experience, miss, and learn, so players build intuitive feel for speed and slope under real playing conditions.
This is a progression drill across five distances: 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 feet. You're timing each putt—getting feedback on how long it takes the ball to reach the hole—and adjusting arm bend and stroke feel. It’s not about memorizing perfect stroke lengths, it’s about feeding your brain experience. You’ll get it wrong, and that’s good. That’s how you build adaptability.
